Late 80’s, while I was reading an  issue of some computing magazine (I think it was Byte), I found an interesting article about the construction of an optical computer. At the end of my studies in the university of Havana, Cuba I started wondering what was my career all about. Only at my last year of not so hard homework making, I looked up the word “cybernetics” in an old dictionary. And from just that moment on I started to think differently .. very differently about computing.

This is a journey, and the last station is a Quasar Base Station, a kind of optical computing device capable of performing billion of operations at an optimal cost and least impact on our ecosystem.

Here you will see articles combining several areas of knowledge, including philosophy, science and technology.

Like I said, this is a journey, so allow me get trapped on my steps and make mistakes.
